Xbox Game Pass Is Proving To Be Extremely Popular

Microsoft posted its second quarter results earlier today and it was fairly positive across the board. Revenue was up 51% in the gaming sector. This was largely thanks to the launch of Xbox Series X/S which helped the hardware segment grow 86% in the period ending on December 21st.

Xbox Game Pass has been reported to now have 18 million subscribers which is really good for a platform that has been out for less than four years. The service has had consistent growth and shows no sign of slowing down at this point. Xbox Game Pass was always going to play a big part in the next-generation launch and is easily one of the defining factors for why someone should choose an Xbox over a PlayStation console.

Xbox Revenue

As a whole, games and services grew 40% which would be down to the holiday period as well as new consoles, with more people signing up for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live.

Microsoft also said that they expect Xbox Series X stock to be constrained for some months, with demanding proving to still be huge for the console.

All-in-all, it’s great to see all three hardware makers absolutely thriving in their own ways, with Nintendo and PlayStation also posting great results recently.
