A new showcase featuring games from Xbox and Bethesda could be happening later this month, if Windows Central’s Jez Corden, a notable leaker of Microsoft-related news, is to be believed.
Corden says that the showcase will be called “Xbox Developer_Direct” and contain deep dives into Redfall, Minecraft Legends and Forza Motorsport, among other things. The Xbox Developer_Direct will reportedly air on Thursday, January 26th at 7AM AEDT.
Rather than a large-scale presentation that we’d be used to seeing around E3/Summer of Games season this will apparently be a smaller and more focused event that could also be a more frequent occurrence for Xbox going forward, not unlike Nintendo’s Direct showcases. Corden says that it’s unlikely Starfield will make an appearance, but could pop up later for a bigger showing.
EXCLUSIVE: Xbox will host a new Developer_Direct show format this month, featuring ZeniMax titles, Forza, and more.

Although Corden is considered to be a good source of insider information, this is obviously still very much just a rumour at the moment. We’ll keep on top of any more news surrounding the potential for a new Xbox and Bethesda showcase.
