The Xbox Games Showcase Has Been Announced For June Along With A “Redacted” Direct

Very mysterious.

Xbox has revealed the date and time for its big Xbox Games Showcase this June, and like last year’s stint with the Starfield Direct it’s another double feature.

The showcase kicks off on June 10th at 3AM AEST, and will feature games from across Xbox’s swelling portfolio of studios including Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda and of course its Xbox Game Studios, along with titles from third-party partners. The follow-up presentation is still shrouded in “mystery,” with Xbox choosing to redact the name and simply saying it’s the next installment of “a beloved franchise,” but I think we can all agree based on the images that it’s a Call of Duty: Black Ops title.

The announcement post also notes that there’ll be a week’s worth of coverage following the broadcast both on the Xbox Wire blog as well as the company’s other various channels, including further updates and deep dives. The show itself will be held in-person in LA and Xbox FanFest looks to be coming back, though we don’t yet know if local events are going to happen again this year.

Here’s how that time and date shakes out around the nation:

From the Xbox Wire blog:

“Mark your calendars! The Xbox Games Showcase will be livestreamed on June 9, 2024, starting at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST (additional time zones below).

“Like our double-feature last year with Starfield Direct, immediately following the Showcase we’ll be airing a special deep-dive into the next installment of a beloved franchise. We can’t say much, so for now we’ll call it the Xbox Games Showcase followed by [REDACTED] Direct.

“This will also be our first Showcase featuring games from our portfolio of studios across Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios, in addition to titles from our third-party partners.

“You’ll be able to enjoy both of our June 9 livestreams live through a variety of outlets, and in over 30 languages, and American Sign Language and English Audio Descriptions.”
