It’s become a bit of a joke by this point, the whole Xbox releasing dozens of new special edition controllers before it releases a new game thing, but it seems that whoever’s in charge of designing these bits of kit at least knows a golden opportunity when they sit on it.
To promote the upcoming launch of the new Deadpool & Wolverine film, which hits theatres next week on July 25th, Xbox has crafted another of its super-limited console and controller dealios to give away to one lucky winner in a sweepstakes. The console itself looks exciting enough for anyone with a strong enough passion for Deadpool to have it out on display, with a wrap themed on the antihero’s suit and a pair of katana strapped to its back, but it’s the controller that’s really caught folks attention.
In an effort that would make Sir Mix-A-Lot blush, this one-of-a-king Xbox Wireless Controller is putting its best asset… behind. Baby might not have back buttons, but it’s certainly got back. If an Xbox Wireless Controller wore jeans, how would it get all of that in them?
It’s got a big butt, is where I’m going with this.
The appropriately-named Cheeky Controller (I would’ve called it the Bumtroller but that’s just me) along with the limited edition Deadpool & Wolverine Xbox Series X can be won in the usual fashion, by following Xbox on social media and reposting this post. Aussie fans are eligible to enter, although the competition is restricted to folks 18 and older.
