Next Xbox Console

The Next Xbox Console Won’t Be Locked To A Single Store And Sounds PC-Like

So cool!

Xbox’s Sarah Bond has today revealed the first information about the next Xbox console which is set to totally change what we know about Xbox consoles.

The company announced that it has partnered with AMD For a strategic multi-year partnership that will see the two companies co-engineering silicon for a portfolio of devices including the next-generation Xbox in your living room and hands.

Interestingly enough, the announcement goes on to confirm that the next Xbox will not be tied to a single store, meaning it’s sounding more and more like it’ll be PC first console that could even potentially run a form of Windows (or something that sits in between Xbox/Windows like the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally).

In the same video, Bond said that the Xbox team is “working closely with the Windows team to ensure that Windows is the number one platform for gaming”, again hinting that Windows will be very much at the forefront of everything that Xbox does going forward with hardware.

It’s a very interesting type for Xbox, and it’s very clear that the brand is all about making Xbox games accessible on as many devices as possible.
