New Pokémon Sun and Moon info revealed

In the 20th Anniversary year of the long-running Pokémon franchise, fans are going crazy for the latest instalments Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon for the 3DS.

Preceding the stream, viewers were given a trailer for the game that showed off more features and characters in the game, followed by a demo of gameplay from a working build of the actual game demonstrated in a Nintendo Treehouse stream.

Developers Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori were live to demonstrate the gameplay, which so far features a complete visual revamp of battles seen in previous games. A few new Pokémon in ‘Yungoos’ and ‘Pikipek’ was revealed and battled against as well.

A “Battle Royal” game mode was showcased shortly after, bringing a new mode to the gameplay system, which is a free-for-all battle where four players contest a battle at once, and the winner is the last one standing.

The series promises several smaller changes, as well as keeping those made when the series moved to a 3D plane.
