Prey, Arkane’s reboot of the original Human Head game from 2006, is only a few short weeks away. That isn’t preventing Bethesda Softworks from giving gamers a taste of the game prior to its launch, perhaps in the hope that it might push a few of those unsure consumers right off the fence.

Prey’s Opening Hour demo is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 27, just over a week before its launch.

Bethesda’s press release made no mention of the short trial coming to PC, so it’s safe to assume it might only be for consoles at this stage. It’s a shame that given Dishonored 2’s poor performance and how cocksure Arkane is that it’ll be “really flawless” they wouldn’t take the opportunity to let gamers sample the Windows version, allaying any concerns they might have.
