Activision has announced that after selling five million copies of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the game will get a major upgrade on October 29th that brings boss gauntlets (the ability to take on boss rematches), send player movement recordings out and brand new outfits.
REFLECTIONS AND GAUNLETS OF STRENGTH
Reflections of Strength will allow you to take on any previously defeated boss through any Sculptor’s Idol. For those that want a real challenge, the Gauntlets of Strength will have you taking on these bosses with only a single life, at which you must start over if you die at any point.
NEW OUTFITS
Wolf will get the ability to change Wolf’s outfits with three becoming available at launch. The Tengu and Old Ashina Shinobi outfits will become available by beating Gauntlets whilst a third will become available by beating the game.
REMNANT RECORDINGS
Similar to other Souls games, Remnants will provide recordings of up to 30 seconds at a time (whether it be a takedown of an enemy or pulling off a technique) to other players along with a written message.
If a player watches this remnant and rates it, the owner will get to recover their HP for free without the use of Healing Gourds or the Sculptor’s Idol.
