Ahead of a fuller reveal at Summer Game Fest, Maverick Games has revealed its debut title, Clutch. It’s an open-world racing game headed up by the former creative director of Forza Horizon, Mike Brown.
The game, which has been developed using a customised version of Unreal Engine 5, focuses on a pair of siblings competing in a prestigious racing series, the R1K, where the only reward is the thrill and fulfilling their love of car racing, which is the sentiment at the core of Clutch.
Players can expect to explore the game’s living PvPvE world using many of the high-tech gadgets and modifications you can install, including a grappling line that can see you swinging around poles.
There’s also a focus on making sure cars feel loved and lived in, with extensive customisation and personalisation options to remove that notable sheen and fresh from the car lot feeling of other racers.
Clutch is set for release next year with a full trailer premiering at Summer Game Fest.
