For the second time, Aldi will have a 65″ 4K TV for under $800. On September 16th, they’ll have their BAUHN 4K TV for $797 as part of their ‘special buys’ campaign.
Whilst this won’t be the best 4K TV on the market, it’s apparently not too bad for the price. As expected, you’ll probably need to do a little bit of calibrating and the sound will probably sound like it’s coming through a tin cup, but it might be worth putting the time in to get the picture right and invest in a decent multipurpose sound bar.
At the time of writing, there’s no specifications on the Aldi website, so it’s impossible to tell if this is the same model they were selling not too long ago or an upgraded model. The catalogue suggest that it has 4K, PVR, HDMI, USB media playback and ARC. Aldi have a 60 day return policy, so it can’t hurt to at least try it if you’re in the market.
