Gfinity has announced that the first two cities (out of a six city competition) are Melbourne and Sydney. Chiefs and Avant are the first two existing orgs to be aligned with Australian cities (Sydney Chief and Melbourne Avant).
These teams will battle it out in Rocket League, CS:GO and Street Fighter V for a share of $450,000.
Gfinity is being touted as the Big Bash League of Australian esports and will take place in a Hoyts Arena in Sydney. The six teams will be joined by the next generation of online gamers from the Challenger Series who will then be drafted into the six clubs.
