One of the more surprising moments during Sony’s reveal of Destiny 2 was that the trailer concluded with the September 6 date, as opposed to the previously confirmed September 8. This was no mistake, it turns out, as it’s been confirmed that the game is, in fact, releasing ahead of its original slated date.
There’s no exclusivity involved, it launches on both consoles at once, with a PC release coming later on October 24.
In more exciting news, the game’s beta has also been detailed. Those with pre-orders will get on July 18 or 19, with the earlier date being reserved for PlayStation buyers. After the exclusive early access, the beta opens up to all console players on July 21, concluding on July 23.
