All Of Xbox’s Massive X019 Announcements

X019 took place earlier this morning and it was easily the biggest episode of Inside Xbox that we’ve ever seen with a bunch of Xbox Game Studio reveals, Xbox Game Pass additions and updates on a bunch of games that we’ve been waiting for.

EVERWILD IS A BRAND NEW IP FROM RARE

Rare had not one, but two massive announcements at X019. Not only are they releasing more Sea of Thieves content, they announced a brand new game called Everwild.

The game is still early in development but it focuses on a natural and magical world that players can explore. It seems similar to Sea of Thieves in the sense that you’ll be playing with other people online, and the world will really be what you make of it.

GROUNDED IS A BRAND NEW SURVIVAL GAME FROM OBSIDIAN

Obsidian has revealed the first game that they’ll be creating since being acquired by Microsoft.

It’s called Grounded and it’s a first-person, co-op survival game that’s coming in 2020 to Xbox Game Preview and Xbox Game Pass. Grounded will also be the first Xbox Game Preview title that’s available on Xbox Game Pass.

TELL ME WHY IS A NEW ADVENTURE GAME FROM DONTNOD ENTERTAINMENT 

DONTNOD will use their story-telling brilliance for a brand new adventure game called Tell Me Why.

It’s a game set in Alaska about twins named Tyler and Alyson Ronan, who use their bond to unravel memories of a troubled childhood. The game will explore the identical twins different memories of key events throughout their lives, and force the player to choose which memory they believe.

XBOX GAME PASS IS GETTING OVER 50 NEW GAMES

Microsoft has announced that Xbox Game Pass AKA the service that keeps on giving is getting a tonne more games throughout the holiday season and 2020. This includes a bunch of AAA games, indie games and Xbox Game Studio titles. The service is also losing some titles.

AGE OF EMPIRES IV GOT A GAMEPLAY TRAILER

Age of Empires is back. After a very long wait, we finally got a look at Age of Empires IV gameplay, which shows familiar, yet great looking action-packed gameplay. The game is set in the Medievil times, which is definitely pleasing to hardcore fans of the series.

PROJECT XCLOUD PROBABLY ISNT COMING TO AUSTRALIA IN 2020

Project xCloud is Xbox’s streaming service that will bring Xbox games to computers, laptops and phones. The preview beta has been running in Korea, UK and the US. Microsoft announced that more regions are getting the service in 2020. This includes Canada, India, Japan and Western Europe. Australia does not appear on the list of places that Project xCloud will reach in 2020, which is a little bit disappointed but not unexpected.

BLEEDING EDGE RELEASE DATE REVEALED

Bleeding Edge, the brand new game from BAFTA award-winning studio, Ninja Theory, will officially launch on March 24, 2020. The upcoming title is a team-based combat game, that pits two competing teams against one another in a vicious melee combat arena. Boasting a cast of crazy, colourful characters, Bleeding Edge is set in the year 2057, when the governments of the world have become corrupted by corporate society.

HALO REACH RELEASE DATE REVEALED

Fan favourite Halo Reach is being added to the Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One and PC as part of a free update on December 3rd, 2019. It will also be available via Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.

WASTELAND 3 GOT A RELEASE DATE

Wasteland 3 is releasing on May 3rd for Xbox One and Windows 10.

KINGDOM HEARTS, YAKUZA AND CLASSIC FINAL FANTASY GAMES ARE COMING TO XBOX ONE

Microsoft has announced that games in the Kingdom Hearts, Yakuza and Final Fantasy series are all coming to Xbox One. Yakuza and Final Fantasy games are also coming to Game Pass.
