It’s hard to believe that we’re just one month away from the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5th. It also happens to be one month since I went hands-on with the console and a bunch of games in New York, so I thought it was a good time to reflect on everything that I’ve popped up so far.
I’m also attending the Melbourne experience this week, so I’m excited to get hands-on again and also see how the event compares to its New York counterpart.
@shannongrixti I spent an entire day playing the Nintendo Switch 2 and it’s a huge improvement #NintendoSwitch2 #NintendoSwitch #MarioKartWorld #MetroidPrime4 #DonkeyKongBananza #Switch2 #Tech #Gaming
Lastly, I’ve published more than 20 videos onto my social channels if you prefer to watch rather than read. You can find those on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.

If you haven’t been following the Nintendo Switch 2 closely, I highly recommend checking out the full hands-on preview which goes into the console, the core experience and games.
If you’re looking for game impressions, I’ve got pretty in-depth impressions of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza and also went hands-on with both Zelda: Breath of the Wold and Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 editions.
If you’re after some hardware impressions, I’ve published my thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2 Charging Grip and how that improves on the original and I also spoke about my experience with the J0y-Con Mouse feature and how that works with games like Welcome Tour, Metroid Prime 4 and Mario Party Jamboree.
It’s going to be interesting to see what else comes out of the woodwork in the next month. Are there still some surprises to be revealed? Will the console pre-sell out in Australia? Let’s see what happens in the lead-up to June 5th.
