Breaking news everybody! Microsoft has changed it’s stance on Xbox One’s restricting DRM. It is now similar in line to the PS4.
The list of changes are as follows.
- Internet will only be needed for initial set up.
- Used Games are no longer restricted, no additional restrictions for trade-ins or lending games to friends.
- System is no longer Region locked.
- Downloaded Games will function the same way, whether or not the console is online.
This really does bring the Xbox One into line with the PS4. I guess the fan backlash and confusion surrounding the situation finally convinced Microsoft to change their minds.
