Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty To Be Priced At $30+ With High Expectations

Oddworld creator Lorne Lanning has today said in an interview that he needs to sell 250,000 copies of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty to be able to move onto their next project. Lanning also stated that this project would be Abe’s Exoddus. Anything above this amount would then be taken into consideration when looking at doing a brand new Oddworld game. Lanning believes that 500,000 sales will get this project over the line.

Oddworld was also given a price in the US. It’s been priced at $30. Whilst we think that this is quite excessive for a digital game, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty has proven to be a significant enhancement on one of the most loved games of the early Playstation days. The fact that the original was released almost 20 years ago are great grounds for the games release.

Lanning went onto promise fans of the series that they’d have more fun with this $30 digital release than what they would with a AAA $60 retail release.

Who’s excited for New ‘N’ Tasty? It’ll be available on PS3, PS4, Vita, PC, OSX & Wii U in the coming months.
