In an eleventh hour revelation, Square Enix seem to have registered a couple of domains, suggesting that a reveal for the follow-up to the Tomb Raider reboot might be in the offing, if not at E3.
The two domains, interestingly listed as “Rise of the Tomb Raider” and “Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris”, were unearthed by Superannuation over the weekend, tracing the links to the corporate registrar of Square Enix.
It’s no secret that a sequel is in the works to Crystal Dynamics’ well-received reboot, so it’s hard not to jump to conclusions that at least one of the registered names might be related to that. The other might be registered for promotional purposes, or perhaps a spin-off title.
Keep a close eye on E3, as there’s no better place to reveal the continuation of Lara’s tale.
