With Overwatch shaping up to be the next juggernaut franchise to take over gaming, it was only a matter of time before somebody tried to clone it’s incredibly unique art-style and stylised sense of gameplay. League Of Titans was announced overnight by a Chinese developer. The most hilarious part of the reveal is that a number of not only the characters, but also the maps seem to be an almost straight up clone of some of the characters from Overwatch.
Even down to some of the on-screen elements such as the HUD, and weapon designs could be mistaken from being pulled directly from Overwatch. You could be fooled into thinking that Overwatch isn’t releasing in China, which is why the developers want to capitalise on that large gaming market, but Overwatch does have a very well-publicised release in China, which makes it all the more confusing.
The REAL Overwatch will release on May 24th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
