Sharing the Joy: Details On The Joycon Controllers

Nintendo have shared more details about the Joycon controllers, which come with the Nintendo Switch.

The controllers themselves are quite small but feature a number of functions, including a share button, which will take screenshots and videos.

You’ll be able to share these via social media, although the video capture won’t be available at launch.

Each Joy-Con includes a full set of buttons, & each can act as a standalone controller, which also come with wrist straps for the Joycons (similar to Wii Motes).  The Joycons also feature Left and Right trigger buttons.

The controllers will feature similarly to the original Wii motes, with motion detection with an IR camera, allowing the controllers to detect motion.

Nintendo also announced you’ll be able to buy different colour controllers, neon red and blue, separate from the console.
