Overwatch Is Getting A New Map Set In The South Korean City Of Busan

During the Overwatch Fan Festival hosted in Seoul this week, Overwatch lead designer Jeff Kaplan took to the stage to announce that the game would be getting a brand new map, set in Busan, South Korea. You can watch the official announcement trailer below:

The control map features three distinct areas;  Sanctuary, Downtown, and D.Va’s MEKA base. The serene setting of the Sanctuary is home to an ancient temple, beautiful gardens, and historic architecture. Downtown characterizes Busan’s bustling metropolitan nature as South Korea’s second most populous city with a flashy karaoke bar and a central light rail station, complete with oncoming trains. Finally, D.Va’s MEKA base is where you will find South Korea’s frontline defense against the gwishin omnic attacks, including D.Va and the rest of the MEKA squad.

The map is already available on the Public Test Realm for PC players and will officially launch for all Overwatch players later this year.
