DigiTimes is reporting that Apple and Valve are gearing up to release an AR headset next year.
The headset will apparently be a head-mounted AR display device and release in the second half of 2020.
Apple was reported to be working on a VR headset, but this recently changed to an AR headset. It’s believed that CEO Tim Cook believes that AR can more easily adapt to digital content to become a part of everyday’s users world and connect to their smart phone.
This headset will marketed as an iPhone accessory, but it’s unclear at this point how Valve would fit into the scheme of things.
