Taking place Saturday, Sept. 13th through Sunday, Sept. 21st AEST, PAX Online is a nine-day digital event that will combine several of the industry’s largest events including PAX West, PAX AUS, and EGX. The free show will be streaming live content 24-hours a day and is slated to feature community activities, esports events, can’t-miss panels from fan-favourite industry creatives, journalists, and content creators, and hands-on demos from some of 2020’s most anticipated titles.
Earlier today, PAX announced the official star-studded line up including professional skateboarder and indisputable legend, the Birdman himself, Mr Tony Hawk, Cyberpunk 2077 creator and roleplaying icon Mike Pondsmith and AIAS hall-of-famer, Sid Meier, the creator and primary designer behind the Civilisation franchise who will share the story of his career.
Tony Hawk will appear at the PAX Arena to commentate a special Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 tournament presented by OMEN. He’ll be joined by skateboarder and professional sports photographer Atiba Jefferson and together the pair will break down top-tier play from a hand-selected group of the THPS community’s finest, including Prod1gyX and TylerLasagna. The winner will receive a skate deck signed by the Birdman along with OMEN gear and the opportunity to donate OMEN setups to a charity of their choice.
Mike Pondsmith will appear during the official open with the creator of the seminal Cyberpunk franchise delivering the storytime keynote on Sunday, Sept.13th at 3:15 AM AEST (which will be repeated Sunday, Sept. 13th at 8:00 PM AEST for Aussie audiences).
