The Oculus Quest 2 will come in white, be a smaller and lighter headset, have 2 x 2K displays (50% more pixels than the original) 6GB of ram, a more powerful processor, 256GB hard drive, new soft touch straps on the headset, and better ergonomics in the controller.
Just as a reminder, the Oculus Quest 2 is wireless can be used without any computer or external device, but can also be plugged into a computer using Oculus Link (to play more advanced games such as Stormland or Argard’s Wrath). It’s also mentioned that all Oculus Quest games will work on the Oculus Quest 2.
The Oculus Quest 2 is rumoured to release later this year at a rumoured price tag of $300 USD (roughly $412 AUD) but the specs seem way too good to be true at that price. We’ll know for sure when Facebook Connect takes place at 3am on Thursday morning.
