A New Mafia Game Is Apparently Being Developed At Hangar 13

According to a report from Kotaku, a fourth instalment in the Mafia franchise has entered development at Mafia III/Mafia: Definitive Edition developer Hangar 13.

The story, which also reveals that Hangar 13’s studio head Haden Blackman is leaving the studio, claims that the new title is expected to be a prequel to the existing Mafia trilogy and will be developed using Unreal Engine 5. The project is supposedly codenamed “Nero” and is still in the early stages of development.

Kotaku claims the new title is being produced at Hangar 13’s Brighton, UK office which is also home to the studio’s new lead, Nick Baynes.
