Deep Silver Dambuster Studios has shared the first details on what players can expect from Dead Island 2’s two story expansions, as well as a look at some other content available in the game.
The game is set to receive two major story expansions, with the first one releasing in Q4 2023. Titled Haus, it’ll introduce players to a billionare’s debauched and gory techno-death cult. The second major expansion is slated for Q2 2024 and is called SOLA Festival, centred around a very hipster-sounding music festival that’s probably going to feature more blood-and-dirt-soaked bodies than a regular music festival.
Both of Dead Island 2’s story expansions are included in the game’s Exxpansion Pass, and on top of these some new character skin and weapon packs have been released in various forms. There are six paid Premium Character Packs available right now, with some included at no extra cost for players who picked up the Gold, Deluxe or HELL-A editions of the game or the Expansion Pass.
All players who have bought the Gold, Deluxe, or HELL-A Edition of Dead Island 2 can now access the Silver Star Jacob and Cyber Slayer Amy character packs at no additional cost.
There are also free “From Dusk” and “Till Dawn” skin packs available now, with the Till Dawn pack included in a free update to the game, and the From Dusk skins being rolled out individually from now until July 13th as Prime Gaming Rewards.
