In words I don’t think I ever expected to type out – Alan Wake is coming to Fornite!
Yep, with this year’s big Fornitemares event in Fortnite comes a whole bunch of new gear, skins, in-game quests and more for the hit game. During the event, which comes as part of the game’s V26.30 Update and runs up until November 3rd, players will be able to access the returning Horde Rush time-limited gameplay mode as well as pick up a variety of new weapons, like the Wood Stake Shotgun, Thorne’s Vampiric Blade and Pumpkin Launcher.
Also available to find on the ground or in chests are a new Witch Broom which will launch you into the air before letting you glide down to the surface (good for quick escapes) as well as the return of Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans each with their own special effects.
Players will also be able to earn extra rewards when completing Fornitemares Quests or playing the Horde Rush mode, and new and returning outfits are available in the Item Shop including wrapped rapscallion Seth, muckfish Bogstick, meownstrosity Phantom Meowscles, and nautilus Festival Phaedra:
Most exciting are the new outfits, which include Disney’s Jack Skellington, Alan Wake and Halloween’s Michael Meyers:
Disney’s Jack Skellington
The “Pumpkin King” Set items are on their way — look out for the Jack Skellington Outfit in the Item Shop later in Fortnitemares 2023! This Outfit includes the Santa Jack alt Style.
In addition to the Zero Back Bling, Peppermint Parasol Pickaxe, and Jack’s Sled Glider, there’ll be two Emotes accompanying Jack Skellington. Scare your squad with the Jack’s Scary Face Emote built into the Outfit, and travel on clawfoot with the universal Lock, Shock and Barrel’s Tub Emote.
Michael Myers
The Island is not far enough from Haddonfield: “The Shape” is on his way to the Shop. Watch your back for when the Michael Myers Outfit arrives later in Fortnitemares 2023.
Alan Wake
He’s already haunted by his own twisted tales, and soon he’ll be haunted by Fortnitemares. Best-selling novelist Alan Wake is being written into Fortnite with the Alan Wake Outfit — look out for when his chapter starts in the Item Shop later during Fortnitemares 2023!
The new V26.30 update for Fortnite will also come with a heap of changes and updates, including the return of the Game Time, Icy Slide, and Rushing Reload Reality Augments and a new Quick Weapon action in beta for those playing on a controller.
