In a bit of a surprise announcement today (at least one confirming some long-standing rumours) and in concert with the Australian Open, 2K has revealed a brand-new entry into the TopSpin franchise with TopSpin 2K25.
While we don’t know too much about this new tennis title aside from a short teaser trailer, or any sort of release date, it’s sure to be exciting news for fans of the sport. Interestingly, it’s being developed by Hangar 13 – the folks behind Mafia III.
Cedric Cornelis, Chief Commercial Officer at Tennis Australia said in a press release: “We’re excited to unveil TopSpin 2K25 with 2K during the Australian Open. The return of this franchise, with 2K’s prowess in game development, supports Tennis Australia’s objective of making The Australian Open the world’s most accessible sports and entertainment event, inviting fans from all corners of the globe to engage with the excitement year-round. At Tennis Australia, we believe ‘playing’ makes life better, while our vision is to create a playful world through tennis for everyone. Our partnership with 2K aims to bring the thrill and excitement of Tennis to gaming enthusiasts worldwide.”
