Hot off of Dragon Ball FighterZ receiving its fresh new current-gen version, Bandai Namco has now revealed that another DB fighting game is getting a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which first launched back in 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a native app on May 24th, 2024. Bandai’s announcement says that PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners can upgrade/use Smart Delivery and transfer saved data from the last-gen versions of the game, with “detailed upgrade and save data transfer instructions will be announced at a later date.”

Just last week Dragon Ball FighterZ, the well-received and still popular 2018 fighting game developed by Arc System Works, was given a new injection of life with a new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S version similarly available as an upgrade for existing owners which not only brings with it updated visuals but also adds hugely-requested rollback netcode to the game’s online play.
The updated version of Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for standalone purchase or as a free upgrade for players who own digital or physical versions of the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, and players across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC will benefit from the new rollback netcode.
