What games have Aussie and New Zealand players been picking up most in recent weeks? That’s the question we’re answering every week with thanks to the weekly Top 10 ANZ Games Charts from the folks over at the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association (IGEA).
The latest report, which comes from the week ending June 30th, 2024, sees Elden Ring remain on top in both regions. The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion has fallen off, but it’s hard to say if what appeared in the last list was only taking into account the bundled copy of base game and DLC. Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD has cracked the #2 spot in Australia but is nowhere to be seen in NZ, confirming that unlike our friendly neighbours, we ain’t afraid of no ghosts.
The rest of the Top 10 is pretty standard stuff, mixed up a little by some legacy entrants that likely come from the Steam Summer Sale having kicked off, like Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Batman: Arkham Knight. Forza Horizon 4 has come screeching through as well, which will be the result of the recent news that the game is being delisted later this year – prompting fans to pick it up while they can and especially while it’s the subject of a fire sale.
