The Second-Ever Panic Games Showcase Is Happening Next Month

FAR out.

Publishing legends Panic have announced a date for their second annual Panic Games Showcase, which will be beamed across the globe on August 27th/28th.

Among a deeper look at the next game from FAR Lone Sails/FAR Changing Tides developer Okomotive, which will first be revealed at gamescom’s Opening Night Live on August 20th, the showcase will also feature dev chats and behind-the-scenes looks at Thank Goodness You’re Here!, Arco, despelote, Time Flies and Nour: Play With Your Food. Just don’t expect to see much from Big Walk, the next game from Untitle Goose Game studio, House House – that’s still a ways off.

You’ll be able to check out the Panic Games Showcase for 2024 via Panic‘s YouTube and Twitch channels at the ripe time of 3AM AEST, August 28th, if you’re bold enough.

Panic’s next big published title is nearly upon us, too, with Thank Goodness You’re Here! launching very soon on August 1st.

I recently published my review of the game, scoring it a whopping 9/10 and saying, “Thank Goodness You’re Here is a succinct, spectacularly funny adventure through an absolutely atrocious fictional Northern England town, packing an obscene number of gags into a three-hour runtime and pulling off some incredible feats of no-frills game design. It’s wonderfully-presented, unabashedly weird and extremely Yorkshire.”
