HBO Has Renewed The Last Of Us For A Third Season

Just in time for its second series premiere!

In a statement published on Variety, it’s been confirmed that HBO’s flagship series The Last of Us, which has been adapted from the video game series which launched in 2013, has been renewed for a third season.

The renewal came roughly a week ahead of the premiere of the show’s second season, which will cover the events of the second game after the first season chronicled the events of The Last of Us Part I. Given the enormity of the second game, it’s unknown how much of it will be adapted in this second season, so it’s no doubt a relief for fans that the story will continue into a third, and possibly, fourth season.
