After EB Games went live with SNES Classic Mini preorders this morning, JB Hi-Fi has also opened up pre-orders both in-store and online. The positive with purchasing with JB Hi-Fi is that they’ll only take $1 as a deposit at this stage. They’ll take the remainder when the product ships in late September.
For comparative sake, EB Games will take $30 as a holding fee. Whilst we’re not promoting you to spend money that you don’t have, it is likely that this will sell out in the lead up to launch so if you’re even half thinking about getting one then we’d recommend that you get a pre-order in now.
When pre-ordering in store with JB Hi-Fi, it’s up to the stores discretion how much they take as a holding fee, but it’s likely that they’ll ask for $10-20.
The SNES Classic Mini is out on September 30th for $119.95.
