Yep, Mario Kart VR is a real thing, but unfortunately, you’ll need to travel to Shinjuku in Japan to give it a go. VR Zone Shinjuku is opening tomorrow and houses not only Mario Kart VR but also other popular Japanese franchises such as Dragon Ball and Evangelion VR.

I’ll be interested to see just how motion sick you get whilst playing. VR is a mixed bag for me personally and there’s no games that are as frantic as Mario Kart, so I can’t even imagine that in VR.

I’m not quite sure how it would work but I do hope that Nintendo do find a way to bring this to a more mainstream audience. Bringing it to Australian arcades would be a great start.
