If there were still any doubts with just how successful the Nintendo Switch has been for Nintendo, this is going to put those doubts to bed.
The NPD has today announced that comparatively, the Nintendo Switch sold better in the first 12 months on sale in the US than any other console during its first 12 months. Yep, this even includes the Wii, PS4 and PS2 which were all powerhouses.
It’s quite incredible to see just how Nintendo have been able to turn it around from the Wii U, with the Switch soon set to takeover its lifetime sales in just over a year on sale.
If you’re throwing handhelds into the mix, apparently the Gameboy Advance was able to sell more in the first year on sale.
