Private Division announced in a tweet that the game would be delayed due to Coronavirus impacting the Virtuos team that are working on the port. As a result of the delay, the game will no longer be a code in a physical box, but rather the game will come on a cartridge in the box.
A new release date was not given, with no huge indication on when we can expect to see the game.
We’re delaying @OuterWorlds on Nintendo Switch due to the coronavirus impacting the Virtuos team working on the port, to provide them enough time to finish development. We’ll now be releasing the physical version on cartridge. Once we have a new launch date, we’ll let you know!
