It’s been long rumoured but Nintendo finally announced the Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond remakes for Nintendo Switch.
They’re called Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl and they’ll be releasing later in 2021. Unlike the Let’s Go remakes, these will be more faithful to the original games, with a brand new art style.
The games aren’t being developed primarily by Game Freak, but rather by ILCA, which is interesting as it marks a change for the series.
Once we have a release date, we’ll let you know, but we for now, we can be excited to return to the Nintendo DS games once again.
