It’s been a good six years since the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so unless you’ve done a recent replay or two, you’d be forgiven for needing to be brought back up to speed a little on what’s going on in the story here.
The six-minute video has been designed as an introduction to the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for both new and returning players, so even if you skipped the last one, hopefully this should give you enough context to jump into the new game and have some idea of what’s going on. As someone who never got around to the DLC, and essentially has a colander for a brain, it’s definitely helped me out.

It’s going to be Zelda hype all week this week, and Nintendo has also announced a special Tears of the Kingdom Treehouse: Live presentation to lead into the game’s global launch. It’ll be a little belated for Aussies who’ll be among the first in the world to start playing thanks to timezones, but if you’re keen you can find all the local times to tune in right here.
