In case you needed another reminder that we are, in fact, getting a brand-new Pikmin game in this, the year 2023, Nintendo has dropped a very short new trailer revealing that the game will include an adorable character creator.
The creator looks somewhat basic, with options for skin tones, body types, a selection of preset faces and hair styles and outfit colours, but the results are incredibly cute. It’s all in keeping with the game’s central mission, which puts players in the shoes of the Rescue Corps’ newest recruit on a mission to save the rest of the Rescue Corps’, who all crash-landed on their mission to rescue the one and only Captain Olimar.
Pikmin 4 releases on Nintendo Switch on July 21st. You can pre-order it on Amazon right now for $69 including shipping.
