Bandai Namco has revealed the release date for Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster, the remastered double pack of cult classic Gamecube JRPGs coming to the Nintendo Switch.
The pack, which includes Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings And The Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins will release on September 14th, 2023 in both digital and physical form, with Amazon already taking pre-orders at a discounted $69. Early purchases will also get access to a special Digital Artbook featuring pieces from the original game design documents.
The HD remasters of both Baten Kaitos games will also ship with some handy features to make playing through the game a smoother, speedier experience than in their original forms (if you choose to use them) including a No Encounters option, the ability to increase the speed of the game and battles up to 300% and even an instant enemy KO option. Magnus menu sorting and help functions will also be available.

In Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster, players will have the opportunity to discover or rediscover the emotional journeys of the BATEN KAITOS series, which features distinct card-based RPG systems that allow for split-second decisions – edging participants closer to victory. Players will take the role of a Guardian Spirit and guide each game’s protagonist and their companions through their journey.
