With the dust well and truly settling on a stacked June season of gaming showcases, reveals and huge releases, old mate Geoff Keighley came prepared with one more trick up his sleeve – a massive The Game Awards 10-Year live concert at the Hollywood Bowl with performances of a list of truly iconic video game music from some of the industry’s most exciting talent.
Among the performers, showing up to the stage in true Bowser style, donning the recognisable green suit from the music video was Jack Black, there to belt out the incredible Peaches from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. While all we have to go off from across the pond is some particularly far-back footage from the official The Game Awards account, it looked like an absolute highlight for those in attendance:

The Game Awards 10-Year concert event had a whole host of other incredible talent, of course, including music from Gustavo Santaolalla (The Last of Us), Masayoshi Soken (Final Fantasy XVI) and Tsukasa Saito (Elden Ring). Oh, and of course Kyle Gass was there to complete the full Tenacious D duo and perform their new, thematically-appropriate track, Video Games:
