Four Nintendo Classics Have Dropped On Switch Including Games Never Released Outside Of Japan

Kirby's Star Stacker!

Nintendo has just unleashed a new round of additions to its library of classic games for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, adding four games from across the NES, SNES and Game Boy.

This new round is especially interesting because three of the four games are Japanese titles that never had an English release, marking likely the first time they’re playable in an official capacity outside of Japan. These three, like Kirby’s Star Tracker (which also had its Game Boy version land on NSO last year), will still be presented in Japanese but for the most part shouldn’t prove too difficult for non-speakers to jump in and play.

The games being added are:

Nintendo Switch Online September 2023 Update

  • Kirby’s Star Stacker (SNES, Japan)
  • Downtown Nekketsu March: Super-Awesome Field Day (NES)
  • Joy Mech Fight (NES)
  • Quest for Camelot (Game Boy Colour)

These games are available to all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers with no need for the extra Expansion Pack tier, and you can find them in the Game Boy app (downloadable through the Nintendo Switch Online menu or the eShop) right now.
