The Aussie Nintendo Switch 2 Hands-On Experience Is Happening This Weekend And Here’s Everything You Need To Know

It’s finally time! 5 weeks after the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed and people around the world have been getting hands-on (including us in New York), It’s finally time for the Australian event.

WHERE IS THE AUSTRALIAN NINTENDO SWITCH 2 TAKING PLACE

It’s taking place in Melbourne on Saturday May 10th and Sunday May 11th at Centrepiece Melbourne (at the Rod Laver precinct) and only those that have a valid ticket will be able to enter. It’s worth mentioning that you have to enter during your entry window listed on your ticket, and Nintendo recommends arriving 15 minutes early to get all of your hands-on time in.

WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE TO THE NINTENDO SWITCH 2 EXPERIENCE

You need to make sure you’ve got your QR code from your Nintendo account, and Nintendo recommends bringing it out (or adding it your Apple Wallet) in case you don’t have internet.

WHAT WILL BE PLAYABLE AT THE NINTENDO SWITCH 2 EXPERIENCE

Based on every event that has happened so far, we expect the below games to be available to play:

  • Welcome Tour
  • Nintendo Switch 2 Gamecube Classics
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition
  • Drag x Drive
  • Metroid Prime 4 Switch 2 Edition
  • Mario Party Jamboree TV Edition
  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Yakuza
  • Split Fiction
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Hogwarts Legacy

IS IT TOO LATE TO GET TICKETS TO THE AUSTRALIAN NINTENDO SWITCH 2 EXPERIENCE

Sadly, it is too late, unless Nintendo open up the waitlists again, but for now, the tickets have been given out and it’s one person per ticket and they can’t be transferred.
