Valorant Is Finally Launching In Australia

Earlier this year, Riot Games revealed that it would be venturing into uncharted territory, launching its very first game outside of the League of Legends universe, a first-person shooter titled Valorant.

Today, we have received confirmation that Valorant is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 2nd of this year.  Since Australian gamers are no stranger to missing out on so-called worldwide release windows, avid fans reached out to Riot Games for some peace of mind about the release date. Thankfully, Riot unmistakably confirmed that yes, Australians will get to play Valorant on launch as well.

Valorant is a free-to-play round-based tactical 5-v-5 shooter that will launch exclusively to PC next month. After less than two months in early access, the game managed to average close to a phenomenal three million players daily. According to some of these early access players, the game is most easily compared to Counter Strike: Global Source, with elements from hero/class shooters such as Overwatch and Apex Legends. That said, developers are excited to showcase new features on launch, including new cosmetics and a previously unseen game mode.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on how to get Valorant in the few weeks leading up to launch but you can also sign up for all Valorant updates from Riot on the official Valorant website here.
