Able to give blood and yet to do it? Here’s your best reminder yet. The folks at Blizzard are giving fans the chance to score a bunch of Diablo IV in-game rewards in a hellish blood drive, and capping it off with the opportunity to win a liquid-cooled gaming PC infused with actual people blood.
The company is looking to “harvest” at a total of 666 quarts (around 630 litres) of blood donations, with various tiers adding new rewards for players to claim within Diablo IV as well as offering up the PC as a giveaway at the end. It’s doubtful that the blood is in the liquid cooling by the way, it’s more likely been included in some part of the manufacturing or painting process. Also it has an RTX 4090 which I reckon I’d give up more than a bit of my plasma for.
At each tier (at the time of writing, Tier 1 has been unlocked), players will be able to claim the following:
Tier 1:
- Dagger – Bloodpetal Anlace
- Axe – Bloodpetal Sever
- Necro Offhand – Bloodpetal Heart
- Sword – Bloodpetal Blade
- Druid Staff – Bloodpetal Bludgeon
Tier 2: The Loch Raeth Maor Barbarian armour set
Tier 3: Vermilion Eye Piebald mount.
And at the final 666 quarts of blood donated, a sweepstakes for the custom blood-infused liquid cooled PC will be opened up to both donors and non-donors, though unfortunately only US residents are able to register their donations and/or enter the PC giveaway. Aussie fans can still reap the the digital reward benefits of the community goal, though.
