Sony has today revealed that more than 50 million PS4s have been sold to consumers worldwide. This puts it at just under a third of the lifetime sales of the PlayStation 2, which still to this date is the best selling console of all time.
Sony says that the PlayStation brand had its best ever Black Friday week last month in the USA.
Also revealed was the fact that software purchases have topped 370 million sales worldwide. This means that the average PS4 owner has 7.4 games.
