February PlayStation Plus

Free PlayStation Plus Games For September Revealed

Shannon GrixtiAugust 31, 2017

PlayStation have revealed the PlayStation Plus games for September and the leaks appeared to be true.

Headlining the lineup is inFAMOUS: Second Son which was one of the first PlayStation 4 games to be revealed and probably one that a lot of newer PS4 owners haven’t picked up. It’s also 4K/HDR enabled, so well worth picking up if you have a PS4 Pro.

Ubisoft’s Child of Light will also be available on PlayStation 4. It’s another stunning little game that I’m sure a lot of people haven’t played.

As a bonus, PlayStation VR owners will be able to pick up Guerrilla Games’ RIGS Mechanised Combat League, which is definitely one of the best VR titles that launched alongside PlayStation’s headset. PlayStation have also thrown in That’s You for a second consecutive month.

FULL PLAYSTATION PLUS LINEUP FOR SEPTEMBER:

  • inFAMOUS: Second Son (PS4)
  • Child of Light (PS4)
  • RIGS: Mechanised Combat League (PS4 bonus title – PS VR required)
  • That’s You (PS4 bonus title)
  • Truck Racer (PS3)
  • Handball 2016 (PS3)
  • We Are Doomed (PS Vita & PS4)
  • Hatoful Boyfriend (PS4 & PS Vita)

You’ve got until the 5th of September to download the below games which are leaving PlayStation Plus.

  • Just Cause 3 (PS4)
  • Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry (PS4)
  • Super Motherload (PS3)
  • Snake Ball (PS3)
  • Downwell (PS Vita)
  • Level 22 (PS Vita)

Overall, it’s an incredibly solid lineup and quite frankly one of the better ones we’ve had this year. It includes three titles from first party studios which is definitely a rarity when it comes to PlayStation Plus titles. Child of Light is an older game but definitely one that a lot of people recommend, and That’s You is also a great addition for playing alongside friends.

Let’s hope this trend of first party titles continues throughout the year and we get some other great games. We’re still waiting on Knack to join the lineup which looks unlikely with Knack 2 releasing next month.
