It’s that time of year again, Overwatch has launched its second annual Winter Wonderland event with seven all-new seasonal skins to collect and one brand new game mode to master. Not to mention reduced credit costs for last year’s skins, just in case you missed out on any favourites.
So what about this new game mode? Welcome to Yeti Hunter, in this asymmetrical 6-player brawl; 5 Mei’s tackle 1 Yeti player who utilizes Winston’s abilities. The Yeti’s goal is to collect as much meat as possible to unlock a powerful rage ability that grants the player freeze immunity and additional powerful bonuses. Team Mei, on the other hand, must track the Yeti down and eliminate him before he becomes too powerful, using a modified “Yeti Trap” ultimate ability to do so.
There are over 150 holiday-themed cosmetic items available in this year’s Winter Wonderland loot boxes and you can receive one for free, simply by logging into Overwatch during the event!
The event will run from December 13 through January 2nd and will additionally see the return of Mei’s Snowball Offensive.
