For those who aren’t aware, gaming’s definitive action-mech game, Konami’s Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner has another remaster on its way. It is known as MARS and it’s due out in September for the PlayStation 4.
It’s the third manifestation of the classic title that’ll feature 4K resolution support, enhanced graphics, new sound design, “next-gen surround sound” and, of course, PlayStation VR headset support.
Fortunately, you won’t need to wait until then as a demo for the title has trickled out onto the PlayStation Store and weighs in at a reasonable 3GB. It doesn’t appear on the store’s demo page, but it can easily be found by clicking through the “see all” prompt.
The demo is set after the game’s beginning and it lets you helm one of two control schemes. You have the choice of the original and classic layout from the PlayStation 2 version or a brand new layout.
