It’s been announced that in America at least, Spider-Man had the biggest launch months (in dollar sales) of any PlayStation exclusive in history. It’s also the seventh largest launch ever achieved by any game on any PlayStation platform.
Spider-Man also generated higher dollars in its launch than any other game this year and is the third best selling game of 2018 so far (which is crazy considering it only game out a month ago).
As far as other Spider-Man games go, it sold 37 percent better than any other Spider-Man game released in history.
As far as other games go, Forza Horizon 4 had the biggest launch for an Xbox racing game, NBA 2k19 became the fastest selling sports game of all time, Odyssey outsold Origins and FIFA 19 had the biggest opening since FIFA 16.
