The Next Assassin’s Creed Game Almost Certainly Features Vikings

It wouldn’t be an Assassin’s Creed game without a mountain of leaks.

It’s been long suspected that the next Assassin’s Creed game would be centered around vikings and it definitely looks to be the case. Previously codenamed, Kingdom, it’s looking more and more likely that this year’s Assassin’s Creed game will be called Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok.

Multiple editions of the game leaked on Amazon last week and more details about the game have appeared on Reddit recently. It’ll be set in large parts of Scandinavia and England with players being able to visit places like Asgard and Jottunheim (anyone that has played the recent God of War will be familiar with these).

It’s thought that you’ll play as a character called Jora (who once again can be picked as a male or female). The Brotherhood system will apparently return and it will feature a lot of naval gameplay but less combat than Odyssey or Black Flag. The game will also apparently feature 4 player drop in drop out co-op.

It’s expected that the game will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One X.
